Not exactly. There it was. The green Vendita sign attached to the gate of another sad, abandoned house in Spello, Italy. It was July 2019, and as we wrapped up our house-hunting trip around central Italy, we reflected on our renovation journey and the charming Villa degli Olivi that had caught our eye.
Not even remotely. However, after our extensive renovation journey through various villages and hill towns around Umbria, Marche, and even a bit into (gasp) Tuscany, we were certain that Spello, Italy, and the combination of Villa degli Olivi with the picturesque village of Spello felt just right.
